Session 018

  • Party regroup in the High Court
  • Mike attempts to steal Salvador’s Bacon bits, fails.
  • Party are congratulated by the Queen before she informs them of the situation.
  • Dagult has sent them a letter informing them that he has Uganda Pickles and another person held captive. He has warned that if any royal guards appear - that he will kill both of them in response.
  • Kellam also outlines that much of the cities resources are being held up preventing civil unrest from occurring. The party will need to make a clear request and case for why they need certain resources to aid with their task.
  • The Queen and Cpt Kellam Oladi implore the party to find Dagult and extract Uganda safely with a large reward on the table for successfully doing so.
  • Erolith sets the party up with the 4 potential locations Dagult could be from intel he and his team have gathered.
  • The 4 places they have received sightings of Dagult are: the entertainment quarter on Elrand, one of the town squares of Amarie, the campus of White Tower University to the North of Gala Tirion, and the shopping district to the Southwest of GT.
  • The party attempt to use their skills to find the likeliest course of action but are unsuccessful in identifying anything before their minds are invaded by Dagult
  • The party see a room with four stone pillars with Dagult and Halia Thorton in clear sight. Dagult slices the throat of Halia plainly and tells the party to hurry up and find him.
  • The Queen enters the room shortly after; distraught and with Kellam following behind trying to calm her down. She desperately commands the party to find him before her son is killed.
  • Fill attempts to convene with Santa Claus for assistance and is nudged towards a book on the shelf of the room they are in.
  • The book is about the sky rails that connect the different islands of Amylthas. Fill uses his intelligence to skim through to find any relevant information. He realises that the sky rails are incredibly well guarded and would be almost impossible in a time of high-alert for anyone to sneak around between.
  • The party deduce that Dagult must be on the island of Elrand and head for the entertainment quarter, but not before attaining some health potions, additional armour, and weapons from Erolith.
  • Erolith informs the party that one of Dagult’s guards was confirmed to be slain in a confrontation - however, he is not sure which guard it was.
  • Mike; with help from Salvador and Alberic, attempt to talk to a rat to get information about the location of Dagult. The rat tells them it saw a a large man heading Northwards from their location. The party reasonably presume this is Brick.
  • The party make their way towards the entertainment quarter and notice practically all of the establishments are closed. The party notice a bar called the “The Broom and the Bean” is still open but is completely empty.
  • The party enter the bar and talk the bartender; an older elven man with grey hair and much longer ears than usual.
  • They question him about remaining open and if he had seen anyone that matched Dagult’s description.
  • He had no issues answering any of their questions until Dagult was described and he had a look of confusion on his face, struggled for a second, and then continued answering the previous question.
  • Leodel; using the Suggestion spell, managed to overcome this block temporarily and allow the man to point toward a door in the back of the bar that headed down to a narrow and windy staircase.
  • The party investigated a bit before heading down in the order of: Mike, Alberic, Salvador, Leodel, Fill. For the most part - the party found their way down the many flights of stairs without harm. However, Alberic - getting impatient slipped off the side of the step in an attempt to parkour down the rest of the way.
  • Alberic sustained a significant amount of damage and also partially alerted whoever was at the bottom of the stairs to the Party’s presence. The party recognised the voice of Lamoira.
  • The party reached the bottom of the stairwell and quickly entered the room, initiating a combat encounter with Dagult and Lamoira.
  • Within the combat; Alberic is afflicted by Dagult’s Persuade ability and is under his control temporarily.
  • Mike and Salvador work together to get Uganda Pickles to safety and untie his restraints.
  • The sessions closes with Fill preparing for his next turn of combat.
