Session 017

Leodel; while being carried away by Trick and Brick, begins to fall into a memory of the first conversation he had with Dagult
In the memory; Leodel is kicked out of a casino for attempting to count cards while he was drunk.
He wakes up to the smell of porridge; remembering the orphanage he used to live at before Ander adopted him.
Dagult approaches him; having recognised the lute on Leodel’s back.
The two talk and Dagult invites Leodel to come work for him while they pool their efforts to find Ander; who had gone missing two weeks prior.
In his sub-conscious state, Leodel being to process his trauma of being manipulated so heavily for the past two years.
Leodel awakes to the voice of Dagult; realising he’s been chained at the wrists and hanging just above the floor. He is continually tortured to the point of falling unconscious and stabilized by Lemoira over the next 15 hours.
Meanwhile; the party in Dagult’s room work together to break the lock mechanism to escape the room.
The party head down to the 2nd level to speak to Erolith about the situation only to find a large crowd of civilians.
The party overhead the crowd saying things like ‘the prince is missing’ and ‘thank god the bastard has fucked off’.
At this point; the party realise Uganda Pickles is nowhere to be found after he exited the room with them all.
While discussing their next course of action; Fill notices a figure attempting to sneak past the crowd and down the 2nd floor hallway. He then recognise this figure as Brick Farrow; one of Dagult’s guards.
They follow after him for a long while without being detected. Eventually seeing him turn down a right corridor and entering a locked door with a secret knock.
As they begin to discuss their course of action; Fill is attacked by a figure from behind with a dagger. The party realise they were followed unknowingly by Trick Price; the other of Dagult’s personal guards.
A combat encounter ensues with Trick quickly downing Fill Werrell before being grappled by Salvador. The party luckily manage to stabilize Fill with a health potion and flee.
The party hear Leodel scream for help in agony and resolve that they have to rescue him as soon as possible.
Shortly after fleeing; the party are approached by Erolith who has found them in a hurry. He informs them that they’re considered prime suspects in the disappearance of Uganda Pickles due to last being seen with him exiting Dagult’s room.
After explaining the events of the past 24 hours and the contents of the letter - Erolith resolves to hide the party in one of the more obscure rooms further down the hallway.
He asks the party to wait here while he takes the letter to his uncle to clear their name and mark the blame onto Dagult instead. The party are reluctant to part with the letter but eventually hand it over and head into the room.
The party find the only bed in the room occupied by Loogan Poole; who still seems to be recovering from his attack earlier.
The party - as instructed by Erolith - begin to rest. Mike and Fill splitting a 4 hour shift each to keep watch on the door while the two humans rest for the full 8 hours.
Mike’s shift goes by uneventfully - only hearing a little bit of movement outside the door but nothing more.
During Fill’s watch - he decides to investigate the Candy Cane he received after slaying Dixon Normus a few days prior. He notices that the runic inscriptions on the white section of the artefact is getting progressively more detailed.
About halfway into his watch; Fill hears the voice of a couple guards saying ‘where is the commander? this floor is clear’ before the screaming of Leodel further down the hallway seemingly leads them down towards it. Fill hears the sounds of scuffle but is unsure what has occurred exactly.
The party awake being fully recovered and rested. After regrouping about what happened during Fill’s watch. They take more time to wait for Erolith’s return.
An hour or two passes before Erolith arrives. He confirms that Dagult has been named a criminal in the state of Amylthas but his Uncles’ three best generals weren’t able to apprehend him earlier in the night.
Erolith admits he isn’t sure what to do as his Uncle has to stay by the side of the Queen for her safety. He asks the party if they have any other allies on the city at the moment that could aid their situation.
They decide to wake up Loogan and attempt to help him kisses and prayer. The latter seemed to be more effective.
Loogan regains consciousness and slowly reassociates with his surroundings. He is so traumatized by the events of the previous day that he can’t bring himself to speak about it.
The party use magic - with Loogan’s permission - to alleviate this blocker and Loogan spills that Dagult threatened his brother, sister, and parents if he didn’t distance himself of winning the election. He also confirmed that ‘the blonde girl’ was placed in his room to attack him if spoke at all.
Erolith receives a sudden communication and informs the party they’ve been requested by the Queen for an audience at the main city - Gala Tirion.
Meanwhile; Leodel wakes up and realises he is now entirely alone in the room before noticing one of his chains go taught.
He sees a man with brown hair and a dirty face sliding down the chains who quickly releases them. The man drops his disguise; revealing himself as Andel Yon and instructing Leodel to head out a different passageway to safety - promising that all will be cleared up shortly.
Leodel stumbles in the darkness through a long staircase before ending up back in the main foyer to the Grand Arena.
Exhausted and looking for sustenance; he walks towards Ernie’s Milk Bar and orders the ‘Tiddy Milk Special with a shot of rum’ and passes out almost immediately in the comfort of the chair.
Fill and the party - being escorted by Erolith to the south port of Elrand - catch a glimpse of Leodel before catching up with him.
The party find him passed out in one of the booths and Erolith reassures them that someone is looking out for him - nodding at a man in an booth on the opposite side of the bar with short brown hair and a dirty face.
The party are taken to the High Court building on Gala Tirion where they wait in a private room with refreshments and beds. Leodel is brought in shortly after; asleep in the arms of the man with brown hair.
The session closes with the party catching up with the events of the past 24 hours and preparing for whatever is about to come next.
