Session 013

  • Uganda flees into the forest
  • Fill cast thaumaturgy to spook Harbin down to the bottom floor
  • Harbin rushes downstairs and ends up falling down the straits and knocks himself out
  • The party investigate the back of the houses and find a back door
  • They enter and see unconscious Harbin
  • Fill and Alberic investigate the house and don’t find much
  • Fill finds letters with DN on the emblem. The contents are blanked out.
  • Mike pickpockets a keyring with 17 keys on it - Salvador tries to use it on every lock in the building
  • Fill investigates upstairs and finds an older letter with the emblem of Amylthas on it
  • Fill takes both letters
  • The party leave Salvador to play with the keys while they secretly take Harbin to the fun house while he’s unconscious
  • Leodel speaks with Barthen and gets confirmation that Zomon did sell him Thin Heir
  • The party regroup at the Funhouse’s VIP room after dropping Harbin off at Adabra’s room
  • Leodel knocks on the door and then heads off to visit Adabra; grabbing a bottle of nice wine and meeting Brakadak - the half-orc bar manager
  • Leodel and Adabra talk and share a glass of wine but she thinks it’s best if Harbin doesn’t see anything dragon related for a moment
  • Fill introduces the rest of the party to Loogan Poole who gives him a painting of the special fish he caught
  • Alberic begins to talk to Dagult and gets a sense that he’s up to no good
  • Leodel returns to the VIP room and Dagult wishes to have a private discussion with his people; leaving Alberic to talk with the other group as Halia Thorton arrives to discuss with them
  • A magical soundproof veil is cast over Dagult’s table and Leodel is brought into the conversation.
  • Halia speaks with the party and asks them for their opinions of Dagult; to which they say they are skeptical of him
  • Halia says her ex-husband was the man who discovered the ruins of Phandalin and then departs
  • Leodel is interrogated by Dagult about the information regarding Thin Heir but Leodel manages to keep his sources partially concealed - only revealing that he spoke to Toblen
  • Dagult instructs Lemoira to interrogate Toblen
  • Fill talks to Salvador about the keys; hears about the chest in Harbin’s room that wouldn’t open
  • Fill heads to Leodel about the letter he found with DN on it.
  • Leodel cast Identify on it and found it was not magically affected at all
  • Leodel and Alberic climb on the roof of a building before the nomination ceremony begins
  • Fill, Salvador, and Mike meet with Uganda who grabs the attention of the crowd for Adabra
  • Adabra introduces the council and the self-nominated candidates before requesting any other nominations of either other people or themselves
  • Brakadak nominates Vok Hashtor who sheepishly accepted the honour - somewhat worried to be running against his boss
  • Adabra requests any other nominations - Andel Yon voices his own desire to be a candidate, much to the surprise of Dagult
  • Harbin allows each candidate to speak for a short time to allow the people to get to know each candidates goals as Town masters hand
  • Dagult speaks first and makes it clear he plans to purchase the town from Harbin if he wins the election; promising the town massive wealth and advancements in culture.
  • Loogan speaks about his desires to make a better world without violence
  • Halia speaks about maintaining the existing culture of Phandalin and allowing it to grow naturally.
  • ”Vok Hashtor speaks about giving those who work hard a fair go! “A vote for me is a vote for fairness""
  • Andel Yon speaks shortly about wishing to ensure the town isn’t swallowed by a larger city or entity and then performs as a rendition of Ander Praze’s “Peaches”; bringing a tear to many eyes
  • Leodel swears for a second he sees Ander Praze singing it himself but it must’ve been his imagination
  • Whilst waiting for the transports to Elrand; Leodel wishes to talk with Halia. She is cold and harsh to him due to his association with Dagult and his overly flirtatious dialogue.
  • He reveals that he’s looking for the Thin Heir to pay his debts to Dagult
  • Leodel tempers himself and begins being honest following Halia muttering something about Ander Praze.
  • Inquiring about how she knows Ander; they discuss, and she reveals she and Ander were friends growing up in Neverwinter. Implying they were once potential lovers but his career kept that from flourishing
  • She invited Leodel into her office to discuss more privately where she explained she discovered her husband was a member of Dagult’s crime syndicate. She did “all but murder him” and then never saw him again as she fled to Phandalin.
  • Leodel showed her the lute Ander left him and she teared up; explaining that she bought it for Ander when they were teenagers and that she inspired him to perform music
  • She confided in Leodel that she knew the location of Zomon Truthtaker within the city of Phandalin. She threatened to “make Dagult the least of your worries” if he divulged this information.
  • Leodel left and regrouped with the party, noticing that Salvador and Uganda were missing. They had last been seen heading to the Stonehill Inn
  • Adabra requested townsfolk make their way to the transport discs installed by Amylthas to take them up to Elrand. The party did so promptly
  • Alberic was made quite dizzy and sick but the lack of a solid floor below him.
  • The party arrived In Elrand and were conversing with Adabra and Toblen when an explosion went off around them. Only Fill was hurt in any capacity.
  • Fill investigated the blast site; seeing similar debris to the explosive device they encountered in the Dwarven Excavation
  • Leodel took the opportunity to discuss with Toblen how and why his safety was in danger. Promising to keep him safe.
  • Toblen was understandingly cross with his involuntary involvement in the affairs of criminals but respected the man’s honesty, asking him to find the letter in his study for his son “Nate” to Elmar in case Toblen didn’t survive.
  • The party regrouped, now guided by a member of the Wyng Corps.
  • Fill noticed a stand outside the grand stadium selling “Electoral Snags” run by Rizz and Brakadak from the Fun house.
  • He bolted off and was briefly chased by their guide, before managing to convince him to let him go.
  • Fill ordered a single snag and a wine with peppermint in it.
  • The party regrouped right outside the grand stadium; taking in the sheer scale of the building as the session closes.
